Just like you, we are taking all of this day by day and continue to be hopeful.
Hopeful that sooner than later we all will be out riding bikes together.
While our start date of September 8th is a ways off there is certainly a chance that the virus could impact the Montana Bike Odyssey. At this point our goal is to make a decision on June 15th 2020 as to whether we need to alter our plans or not. The health and safety of our riders, volunteers and members of the communities we ride through will dictate any decision we need to make.
Be safe, stay healthy and continue to ride (in a safe and appropriate manner)

ABOUT MONTANA BIKE ODYSSEY
Montana Bike Odyssey is a fixed route, self-supported, single stage, mixed surface cycling race that starts and finishes in Bozeman Montana. The 1,650 mile route travels clockwise around Montana, passing through the Rocky Mountains of Western Montana, over the Going to the Sun road in Glacier National Park, across the expansive Prairies and Breaks of Central Montana (including two ferry crossings over the Missouri River), over the 10,947' high Beartooth Pass, through the Northern portion of Yellowstone National Park and back to Bozeman. It follows state and county paved roads, maintained gravel roads and unmaintained dirt roads connecting rural communities, often spread apart by long distances.
The route shares 150 miles with the Tour Divide race route and 85 miles with the TransAm race route.
Expect to experience all that the vast and diverse landscape of the "Big Sky State" has to offer on this epic and challenging route.
“I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love, and it's difficult to analyze love when you're in it.” John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America
